A Gypsy Soul
A Gypsy Life
Many people who hear the word gypsy think of a tarot reading, bright color maxi skirt and jewel wearing woman. Historically, there have been two types of gypsies – Roma Gypsies and Irish Travelers. Two different groups of people with one thing in common, a nomadic lifestyle. Many gypsies of the past were known for “witch craft” or predicting the future. Therefore, your perception is correct, but not for the modern day gypsy soul.
A Modern Day Gypsy Soul
Although, I do wear maxi skirts, I can’t tell you what your future holds – although that’d be pretty freaking sweet if I could.
Defining myself as a gypsy isn’t based off how I live. It’s about how I embrace life. I let my mind and soul wander, seize the moment and live to the greatest potential.
Gypsy (noun): a nomadic or free-spirited person
Here’s what you need to know about the gypsy soul:
A gypsy soul is free-spirited. They live in the moment and do what feels right. A gypsy soul can’t be tamed. It marches to it’s own beat, down it’s own path. Although, we can’t predict the future, we believe in miracles and what the universe has in store for our future.
Independence. Looks for their own happiness. Doesn’t need a person to make them feel satisfied. Sure, the comfort of another human is nice, but will never depend on someone else. Although a gypsy soul is independent, it wears the heart on the sleeve. It falls in love easily, but is terrified to do so.
Emotional. A gypsy soul feeeels. It laughs, it cries and it has passion. She embraces the chaos of life and doesn’t conceal it.
Unpredictable. You never know what the next chess move is. We’re kind of annoying this way. We’re always looking for something new and exciting whether that’s people, places or things.
Let’s start this journey of life together. Dance freely, try something new, love fully and don’t plan your next move. You only live once – #yolo.
