Midwest Woman’s Weight-Loss Journey

Once you see your results, it’s a healthy addiction.

I did it, I freakin’ did it! I have lost 90 pounds since October 2017! I’ll be the first to admit it has NOT been an easy road. There have been many ups and downs, but this moment, right here, right now – it’s worth it!

Trust Yourself.

What did I do differently this time instead of giving up like I always had previously? I trusted the process. I told myself that I am going to have my cake and eat it too. It was inevitable. I knew if I gave up completely I would regret it later and let myself down. In the end it would be nobody’s fault but mine.

I cut out the main thing that I knew would hinder my progress – carbs. I taught myself how to cook using other substitutes such as squash. Once the carbs were cut out, I realized the addiction processed sugars and carbohydrates are and my relationship with food has changed when they left my diet. I am no longer treating food as a coping mechanism. I treat food as fuel and taste. This is the best thing I have every done for myself. I loved food before, but I love it even more now!

Believe in Yourself.

I experience bloating, water weight gain, cravings, comfort food and anything else you can think of that can discourage someone. But each time I fall off the horse, I jump right back on and lose more lbs.  My advice for those of you who are on this journey too… Believe in yourself. If you gain a pound or five in a week, don’t sweat it – I did too! What are your struggles? Drop me a comment below and let’s cheer each other on!

Pssst… I’m going for 100.
