Let Freedom Ring in La Crosse, Wisconsin

Annual Riverfest Independence Day Celebration

Can you believe it’s already mid-June? This summer is flying by, and has me thinking about my 4th of July plans. At the top of my list for contenders is the ever so festive Riverfest in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Riverfest in La Crosse, Wisconsin was established in 1983 to create a traditional festival for everyone to celebrate the Home of the Free. Held annually in Riverside Park over the 4th of July weekend. Riverfest provides communities members and outside visitors of the La Crosse area a place to celebrate the holiday. With fireworks, entertainment, food and traditional Independence Day festivities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. While overlooking the beautiful Mississippi River, guests can enjoy an outstanding firework show, along with some of today’s biggest artists as they hit the stage. More traditional Fourth of July events include hot dog eating contests, parades, bean bag (corn hole) tournaments and water ski shows. Riverfest is definitely a 4th of July event to experience.

Still making plans for Independence Day? Consider gathering with your friends and family to celebrate the fourth in La Crosse. I enjoyed it and definitely plan to consider it again this year. Check out their website for a complete schedule.
