Healthy Eating

Hello delicious. šŸ˜šŸ˜ Over the last couple of years, I’ve been changing my diet. One day it hit me – you really are what you eat! To begin, I limited the amount of processed sugar and carbohydrates I was filling my body – I lost 50lbs! Shortly after, I opted for organic food as available and for the last year I’ve never felt better! My body has less toxins and it shows. Yes, it’s more expensive, but the way you feel makes up for it. Plus, the food actually does taste better. Since starting this journey I’ve lost 1/3 of my body fat weight – one third!!

Here I’ll share with you all some of my favorite recipes, which are usually quick as my lifestyle is always on the go. I’ll also be sure to share other accomplishments during the journey as we endure a healthy lifestyle! Now, delicious… GET IN MY BELLY!

Gypsy Lifestyle

Many people who hear the word gypsy think of a tarot reading, bright color maxi skirt and jewel wearing woman.Ā Historically, there have been two types of gypsies – Roma Gypsies and Irish Travelers. Two different groups of people with one thing in common, a nomadic lifestyle. Many gypsies of the past were known for “witch craft” or predicting the future. Therefore, your perception is correct, but not for the modern day gypsy soul.

Although, I do wear maxi skirts, I can’t tell you what your future holds – although that’d be pretty freaking sweet if I could.

Let’s start this journey of life together. Dance freely, try something new, love fully and don’t plan your next move. You only live once – #yolo.

The Gypsy

Midwest Gypsy Woman

I like to call myself a Minnesconsinite. Born and raised in Minnesota, I jumped the river and have been trying cheese, beer and all great things Wisconsin – Minnesconsinite.

I’m a lover of the outdoors, wine and gaining memories that will last a lifetime. When I started Midwest Gypsy I didn’t know where this journey was going to take me, but it’s really become my life journey for the last year. I’ve travelled and experienced other cultures, changed my lifestyle and discovered who I am while doing so. These experiences have brought me to the realization we only get one chance to do us, so let’s do us.
